A SERVICE offering information and advice on all aspects of living with a disability has been launched by Hertfordshire County Council.

Advice on benefits, disability rights, equipment, transport and sources of support is now available via the internet, by telephone or by Typetalk. Adult care and health executive member Sally Newman said: "This initiative will complement what already exists nationally and prove an essential service for anyone who needs this information."

A supplement containing useful information on issues such as specialist play schemes, arts activities, leisure activities and money advice will be included in a parent partnership newsletter put together by Hertfordshire Additional Needs Database.
