JONATHAN WOODGATE has urged Tottenham to push for a Champions League place next season.
Spurs had to settle for 11th place this year after recovering from a dismal beginning to the campaign, and although Woodgate concedes it will be "tough" for the Lilywhites to infiltrate the big four', he believes the side must aim high.
"We are trying to get into the Champions League. That's the benchmark," Woodgate, 28, said after his side's 2-0 home defeat to Liverpool.
"At the moment we are far off that. It's going to be tough to break into the top four."
