SPURS new boy Alan Hutton spoke of his delight at already entering the record-books at White Hart Lane.

Despite having only arrived at the north London club from Rangers in January, Hutton was thrust straight into the action in Tottenha's triumphant Carling Cup success over Chelsea last weekend.

And by picking up a winner's medal just three games into his White Hart Lane career and the defender beat the previous record held by Jimmy Neighbour who had made only nine starts plus six substitute appearances prior to his appearance in the successful 1971 final in the same competition.

"It's been unbelievable, like a whirlwind the last few weeks, coming down to Spurs and then playing a final at Wembley in my third game," the full-backtold the clubs' official website."To win it as well, fantastic. They've been great times so far.

"I think it will be tough to beat three games - I think that might stand for a while!" he added before confirming that suggestion that there was no better way to integrate into a squad than through a cup final.

"It's been easy for me so far. I thought it might take a while to be right in tight with the team but with the final I've got to know the lads that much better. They are a great bunch and they've helped me settle really quickly."
